Let Annie be your guide to the under belly of New York City. Street-tough, she has honed her survival skills well. An eighteen-year-old African American street kid, sexually abused from the time she was four, Annie has no family except the family she has made of other street kids. They survive through robbery, prostitution, drug peddling, and other unsavory activities. They have their own code of behavior in which the aim is to get as much money, by any means, as needed to survive. Their language can be as shocking as their attitude.

The filmmaker has gotten remarkable access to this smart, damaged and vulnerable young girl and her circle. Annie is an unforgettable "in-your-face" portrait of a deprived, wayward population in our cities. It is also a cry to make things better - or we will all be the victims!
