Warren Lewis, a community leader and owner of Warren's Original Hair Styles may be the only barber in America who uses a lit candle instead of a scissor to style his clients' hair. This amusing film, set in a black neighborhood of Memphis, shows us a slice of ghetto life different from that which we see on the evening news. Here customers come to chat and relax entrusting their hair to Warren's smoldering technique. No one has ever been injured and Warren is convinced his method is healthy for the hair.
This entrepreneur caters to more than just vanity. He has a passion for life and for helping his neighbors. This delightful portrait provides a lighthearted note to programs dealing with the African American experience.
