Most
people recognize that alcoholism creates serious problems for the individual
alcoholic, but few understand the devastating effects of the illness on the
children. This documentary focuses on three "adult children" who are
struggling to come to terms with the profound effect of their parents' drinking.
As they relive the memories and conflicting emotions of childhood, they become
aware of the danger of repeating the cycle of addiction in their own lives.
The film's message is that only by confronting and accepting the past can adult children of alcoholics free themselves from it.
