The life-long journey into self-esteem is one of the most important journeys that people take. The earliest years of life can plant the seeds of a healthy self image. The child learns that he or she is capable, worthwhile and has a degree of control over life. With the disappearance of the old fashioned, extended family, parenting responsibilities often fall entirely on one or two working people. Parents feel guilty if they are not "perfect." Dr. H.
